Firstly a big thank you to Alex for his time and effort getting all this work done in 1 go :)
after a long day at Aks Tuning in bedford on friday the work was finished about 10 pm lol
we had a plan to do the work with me taking down my tyrol deadset kit and Hpa mount to fit if we have time,Alex spoke to me first thing and thought he'd be better off to fit the kit and mount first as it'll need a new alignment doing so he cracked on with that, back from the alignment back to normal after my other hub changes etc

now point and power with the steering again, nice and light, shifts seem and bit 'tighter' also after, the Hpa mount id admit a bit more cabin vibration but hopefully it'll settle in time

Onto the strip down for the Peron fmic change, everything went to plan to be fair, maybe a bit easier for Alex as he was removing the inlet for cleaning anyway

Now onto the Rfd delete and stems cleaned, these are at 47k miles, added new injectors seals also

finished

Methanol plate fitted

lastly the Ttrs lpfp fitted and vcds checked and all is well again ;)
Loving how the car now feels, the throttle is very responsive and was like driving it for the first time trying to get the pedal right lol
the only thing i was expecting was a nice burble and popping when letting off the accelerator which the rfd delete usually gives, wasnt happening on mine :( maybe it wasnt in the revo map as theyve not had a map for the rfd cold start issues like i had on the cupra's Apr map,the cupra sounded awesome

Looking good!

Was the intercoolcer a direct fit or was there some customisation needed?

Finally got round to doing some off the little jobs today
Had these smoked lens mirror in my watch list for months and seeing that mike bought some made my mind up to get some

old mirrors

new installed

next job fitting the Bold Sport 3d door warning lights of a member on the mk5gti forum, luckily i enabled these with vcds when i had my battery problems
there just 3 bolts holding this on and some bloody strong clips lol i didnt remove the door card completely, just left the door lock installed, removed the window switch plug and left it sit on my mat as i could get at the door controller module easy enough, popped off the controller cap and added the live to number 18 and ground to number 19,this kit had pins on ready to push straight into the block

popped the cap back on and plugged in the controller module and nowt(damn)anyways i thought id whip the drivers door off and install this to check on the wiring etc, plugged it in and it came on straight away :innocent:

put everything back together as they were identical wiring etc and left it till i got home and checked with the vcds, looked into the drivers door coding and akll was fine so checked the passenger door and it wasnt coded in ready lol, enabled and voila:tongue: ,must admit these are bloody bright at night:cool:
last job as i had some 6d carbon wrap left over from doing my dash trim i thought id whip my door trims off, window down and pull the rubber back and theres 3 hex screws
original is quite scratched but could of been buffed out,if i get bored ill just rip it back off

tbf it blends in well with the carbon mirrors

only a few more jobs to do now, installing my polar fis+,city lights and rear carbon diffuser
cheers
