H&R camber plates
« on: December 24, 2014, 07:49:25 pm »
going through tyres like there is no tomorrow due to car being low with stretched tyres and 600 miles a week for work. Does anyone have these fitted to their cars and are they compatible with other makes of coilovers?
I have Apex RDX fitted to my Jetta.

You should still be able to get a proper alignment even with your car being lowered.
Iv never had a problem with my car

I have had a 4 wheel alignment but the camber is causing the wear on the fronts, it doesn't help having 215/40 on the 8" VZ rims

Are you sure it's not your toe settings that are out as that's what wears your tyres

The stretch shouldn't make any difference to how fast your tyres wear

I run 225/40 on an 8 a 215/40 on a 8.5 and a 215/40 on a 9 and the wear is still even

Yes...they will fit any dampers or coils you may have. As mentioned, are you sure it is only the camber that you need to adjust?

What camber are you currently running? I run - 3 degs and can still get 10k plus out of front tyres.

I will find out and let you know once the Indy garage is open again, I will also ask about the toe settings. Last thing I need is to wear the winters!

Turns out the camber is -1 and the toe is set to factory spec, my indy guy suggests i get the specs of the camber plates before i purchase them. Also another source says that fitting the camber plates will not change the wear on the front!
Has anyone fitted them to their cars with coilovers??
