Hi Guys glad to see theres a few of us on here.. Performance wise im thinking Forge Induction Kit, Miltek Cat-back and revo remap to start with but ill have to save up a few bob first. Any other suggestions would be appreciated! Im on GtiNi but ive neglected it to be honest. What motors have ye all got?

I'm on autostadt and try to make it to the Dublin meet every month. Member on most other Irish sites, but not active.

Have a '05 Steel Grey GTI. Have a full Milltek with sports cat, carbonio intake & Joe Power remap amongst other mods. I'd certainly recommend Joe to map the car, he's one of, if not the best in Ireland.

Hi David, another Irish member here too!!

I'd second the Joe Power recommendation, he know's his stuff and can map it to your needs. I'd go turbo back if you're going to do the exhaust, free's it up nicely.

Is that an autostadt meet in dublin? The mk5 vw stuff seeems very thin on the ground so i thought this would be the best forum to go for. Where is Joe Power? Ive bever heard of him... Yeah im torn between cat-back and turbo back but id say cat-back. Does anyone have a price for both and suppliers in ireland.

Yes, it's the first Tuesday of the month in Carrickmines. Joe is based in Greenogue Industrial Estate, and really does know his stuff. As for suppliers of Milltek, try Keith in Alloy-Wheels based in Blanchardstown, IIRC they supply (and fit) Milltek exhausts, along with other mods.

If you want to hear the full Milltek with sports cat, let me know and you can have a go in mine, although the diverter valve needs replaced.

I must check my diverter valve and my pcv next time im servicing it in 8 or 9 hundred miles or so!! Im still trawling through forums to see which d/v to replace it with!

There's a good guide on here regarding the diverter valve & PCV. The general opinion seems to be that the latest revision of the OEM diverter is best.

Another Irish member here!

I don't have a Mk5 yet but I'm building a Mk1 with a TFSI K04 engine out of a 07 Leon Cupra, find the forum great for info on tuning and power upgrades.

Sounds quite challenging murph! Have you a build thread on here or any other site?
