Cheers David, it will probably be another year before I bring it to a show because I want to paint it first.

Hoping to go to Limerick and Fermoy shows this year alright, what about yourself?

Going to keep it original colour, I want it standard on the outside and mental under the bonnet!

Theres a thread started over on Autostadt for people going to Dubshed, I'd say theres surely a few going from Cork.

Hi Freddy, have you got a thread for your Mk5 on here?

Welcome to the forum David! I'm living in Dublin myself.

If you're saving up for a few of the expensive performance mods I'd get cracking on the cheaper and very easy DIY aesthetic upgrades. You can get very good quality bits from aliexpress and eBay when it comes to small items of trim that'll make a huge difference.

Small build items I've done that you can take a look at for an idea:

Then give it a serious clean and protection. Spend €150 now on gear and it'll last you the lifetime of your car. Get good stuff and do it right:

Have you gone through the usual checks i.e. DV, PCV, cam follower etc?

Also @bennyx_o  I've been putting off autostadt for months, when is the next meeting? Still haven't made one! @KieranR  have you gone to one?

Yeah I went to my first one this month. First Tuesday of every month in Carrickmines. Really enjoyed it. Think there was 4 mkvs there including a 5 door tornado red 300bhp + monster!
