MK6 1.4 Engine Coolant
« on: December 31, 2014, 12:41:37 am »
Hi, guys this is for my sister mk6. I have the mk5 gti. So basically I filled her engine coolant up 4 weeks ago and today it was completely empty with the light flashing. I was completely shocked, I couldn't find any leaks from the radiator or the coolant pipe. What could this potentially be ?

Thanks

Was the engine completely stone cold when you checked it? or had it been run on that day?

Running the whole day, previously due to cold weather it has set off with the coolant above minimum!

Top it up and keep an eye on it, maybes it still had air in the system from when you changed it.

EDIT: did you just top it up the first time or had you changed the whole system and put fresh coolant in?
