think it does go a little lower but to get really low you need aftermarket rear suspension arms.
mk5s flat to the ground look naff  :signLOL:

wanted to ask this question myself as I'm fitting air over the next couple of weeks.
Have you cut your rear bump stops? sure that will help a little.
I know the manual says cut the rear bag brackets only if you have aftermarket struts. will it do anything if you was to cut them with standard shocks? as I imagine that will let you go that bit lower.

I had fk dampers on the rear and there were shocking! Dampers couldn't handle how low it airs out! Went for the air lift slam xl rear dampers. Few pics if this helps

@DomBacon - I stumbled across your Instagram account the other day, love your car

I know it's a different suspension set up on the MK5, but when I had my MK4 on air I ran Slam Series XL bags with standard shocks on the rear and it went pretty low. Matt at Only Charged Dubs made me up some custom bag brackets as well which helped get it lower, it would be worth getting in touch with him to see if he's got a solution for the MK5 as well.

Cheers man  :happy2:
Think I paid like £75 for the slam xl 2 rear dampers from car audio and it tucked at least another inch on the rears and the handling is sooo much better than coilovers!!

back is lower than the front

whenever i set my coilovers i always do front lower than the back, i personally think it suits the car more

The back tucks more because the engine is on the floor it can't go any lower

Yeah, but personally (and what jaffa is saying) is that the rears going "ALL THE WAY DOWN" like that doesn't look very good in our opinions. The car then looks flat to the ground rather than having a sort of nose-down attitude.
