There's also the fact that we are talking about 2 different drag strips in 2 different countries (different altitudes etc). A manual K04 A3 (or S3), with your mods should be running high 12's / low 13's at around 107-108mph in the UK. Your times and terminals are the equivlent of a Stage 1 S3 over here. I managed a 13.1 with around 320bhp in full road trim with FWD (again DSG though) and there has been a few Cupra's running low 13's with 360+bhp too.

Yes i thought i would be running the same... that is low 13s og high 12s... But APRs file is not aggressive. Revo gets about 370 lb ft and right now i am only putting down about 310 lb ft... and then the 25 hp difference... 13.1 is also really good imo! I would expect to do the same and then argue the reason is your dsg vs my 4wd, meaning that they even out the difference...

Could the reason be that i shift to late? Guess that question only goes for people running manual box...

It can depend on where your software reaches peak power, but I would be changing at about 6750rpm.

My stage 1 S3 got a 13.7 last time I tried at the POD with a 60ft time of 1.9 and a terminal of ~103 MPH.  I am sure I could do better though and get the time down to 13.5 or so 

Need to get to the POD for another RWYB and put down some more times

About 330 BHP according to the two dyno's I have been on.  TBH I don't pay much attention to dyno figures as they are such a lottery.  1/4 mile times are a much better measure

ignore the nfatc theat you might not match the k04 TFSI engine figures.  from what i gather in your sig, you have a normal A4 2.0T with a k04 conversion.  that would mean a different compression ratio and cams to the S3. so not entirely comparable

But your right, i will not hit the figures like an s3, but i should be able to be close and atleast get lower than gti's with the same setup (ED30)

The A3 2.0tfsi engine has a higher compression ratio and cams than the S3 and will ultimately never make the same figures even with a K04 and equivalent mods. The rods aren't as resilient as the ED30/S3's either, but with a K04 you should be okay on OEM pistons and rods.

Well thats the light battery home (7kg vs 21kg standard one), the wheels back from refurb (3kg lighter each), light brakes being made (5kg lighter per disc) and tyres all but decided on. Also removed a/c radiator so all air falls on to the intercooler now.

I have got Crail on the 20th of June and very keen to bring the first K04 Manual Front drive 2.0T in to the 12's.

I will be ordering a WMI kit next week. Not sure what else could be done to get the car down any more after that (within reason).

Being honest, I am not sure it will be possible as a 2.1 60 foot time is most likely a pipe dream, and the car was absolutely flat out at the top of 4th gear last time @ 115.4mph. Any more speed accumulated will be offset by another gear change which will rob valuable time - last time was 13.018.

Just wondering if anyone has any other ideas? I have to make up 19 hundredths of a second to do it - I am soooo close!

can you get the alloy TT hubs to fit or not??  crbon bonnet, liht weiht race seats, get a poly rear window fitted.  depends how far you want to take this

The car needs to remain OEM from the outside mate. I have thought about a lightweight pair of seats, but there will be only 1 seat in the car this next time.

Was thinking about running part race fuel which with the WMI should allow me to use boost 9, timing 9 and fuel 5 or 6 :)

As far as I am led to believe, the lightweight hubs arent that much lighter?

what about the fuel additives hurdy used. that let him advance his timing a bit iirc.  or pour some meth in your fuel tank

Additives were in last time with timing advanced to suit. May opt for funny fuel this next time too
