I am wondering what difference slicks would make to the 60 foot time over say 888's?

At what point do you change gear Al - rev limiter or a certain point on the tacho?

thats a fair point.  on your dyno graphs, where abouts does the power/torque/boost start to tail off.  iknow on the k03 changing gear at about 5250rpm makes more progress

Not sure really. I dont look at the rev counter - I do it by ear. Maybe I should try changing sooner. Have a listen here. Must be about 6500-6750rpm

you got any dyno graphs or boost logs to see how the car is performing.

Yes boss   - or should I wait until WMI is onboard  :pomppomp:

Owen and I were also speaking about ditching the S3 cooler for a THS one. Not convinced the Forge would work any better than a single thick core given we have no a/c to worry about but WMI should do a good job too.

I was going to say you could hold onto a gear longer - mine will rev to just under 8k

Yeah, it would be doable, but there is a point in the revs where it makes things quicker to change to the next gear. You will hear on the clip above that the car is absoluely balls out in 4th. With no passenger and no passenger seat, it gets there sooner.

thing is though the best thing about the forge is the increase in surface area for cooling

Yeah, I have thought about that, but realistically, the S3 core blocks part of the OEM core anyway. That plus the fact I would need to get a mix match kit - Leon core and S3 pipes which will be a pain when I come to sell them.

Then there is the extra weight of another core ha ha ha!

lightweight battery helps, but you will notice you need to adjust your ride height afterwards from taking 15kg off from one side of the engine  :happy2:

do you guys get BP102ron up in scotland? as thats worth a punt, i certainly noticed the difference from vpower the times i have tried it but not cheap at over £2 a ltr

tyres i would go r888 as its what all the people running the best times are using, no point trying something else when these are proven, and then try out different tyre pressures to see what you launch best with

these guys are selling off there toyos, at £165 per corner compared to £199 from camskill  :happy2:

im missing the pod its been over 2 months since my last outing, will be the first thing i do when i get the car back
