MK5 Heated Mirror Connectors
« on: January 06, 2015, 08:10:35 pm »
Iv'e just replaced the mirror glass on my passenger side, and like a numpty forgot to check which way the cables went before removal.

At the min I have the Blue connector on the inside (closest to the window) and the Red on the outside. Now everything is working eg. it heats up and moves as normal.

This said when I checked the drivers side the cables are opposite Red = Inside Blue Outside - This also heats up as normal and moves.

Can anyone shed any light on this as Its got me confused a little?

Thanks

The mirror element is a resistive element and isn't polarity dependant so it will work either way
