« on: January 10, 2015, 10:06:14 pm »

Can anyone advise firstly what badge this is (3D?), secondly, is there anyway of removing and replacing without removing the whole handle?!

Have been searching but still none the wiser...

You can pry it off, gently!

I managed to get the vw bit off mine but snapped it. Had to get a new one from an American website as couldn't find a replacement on ebay. I now have one in gloss black

If you use a thin small screwdriver to initially pry away the bottom of the badge at the 6 o clock point, then you can use a credit card or trim removal tool to gradually shimmy round and prise the badge off the back. The mk6 bevelled badges fit onto the mk5 rear mechanisms too but i think there were two clip patterns so some mk6 badges need some tabs to be broken off etc.

bit of patience and sometimes a soak in hot water helps get the badge off easier! Hope it helps!
