Air con leak, or not?
« on: January 08, 2015, 05:20:40 pm »
Hey guys,

Just looking for some opinions.

Had my car 3 months and was advised my aircon was leaking, so had dye put in it.

Took it back to where I got it today for it to be looked at/repaired under warrantee.

They've said they can't find a fault, and that all they can see is some dye around the seals, but that's normal.
Are they just fobbing me off..??

How did the person who noticed it leaking originally see the problem thus requesting dye to be added to aid finding a leak in the future?

However,If it was a case of recharge with dye sorted the original problem and now the gas has gone I suggest you use an independent party to look in the common areas like - condenser and pressure switch (electrics connection point).

Check the heater vents for dye as not everyone looks if the evaporator is leaking
