Rear wiper problem

Hi,

My rear wiper has developed an annoying fault where it is continuously wiping (no matter which position the steering column stalk is in). I've tried switching the engine off and restarting but it's happening all the time. I've taken the fuse out to stop it working but obviously need to sort it out.

Any advice or recommendations would be really welcome

As with any electrical fault, get a VCDS scan to identify any problems. At a guess it could be a broken relay if its continually opperating.

I've got the same thing, I also had to remove the fuse. Last weekend I did some investigation and took the rear panel off to have a look at the wiper motor and the connector, checked the operation of the relays which were good, so my next port of call is the stalk?. Either way I lived with it......

Check the tailgate wiring within the rubber banjo before buying any parts  - wiring failure in this area cause all sorts of interesting problem
