APR now is experiencing management/ownership changes as they went Bankrupt and have charges of design infringement in relation to grinding off competitors logos on  forged bits such as superchargers and adding theirs before recasting as their own. What they will be in the near and far future is up in the air for now.

With anything, before being scared by failures, the ratio to units sold to units failed must be considered. If one in a thousand units fail, that's still reliable.

Also, in defence of Autotech, they sell just internals and rely on the skills of the person fitting and the condition of the pump being used. Assuming most people build into older pumps, that could explain the higher rates of failure.

However, I will not discredit mass opinion and facts, just like to balance arguements. :happy2: And I also don't have any of these items myself so I consider myself non-bias to any company.

Yeah I get where your coming from with that and if I got autotech I'd probes build it into my old pump so therefore will have more of a chance to fail

As far as I understand, you're supposed to build the Autotech bits into a new pump?

So the cost difference between new pump + Autotech vs LOBA pump is fairly marginal.

Or you save a decent bit of money building the Autotech into your 40/60/80k miles pump, and increase your risk of it failing?

The extra few quid for a Loba is a no brainer imho, it comes with a cam follower too!
