I think they have them fitted to counteract the extra weight of the S3 brakes, the cupra has the same iirc. how much did they cost you.

i think id splash out for the TT lower control arms, aluminium but with additional camber adjustment

yeh thats what i thought they might be for, goood job i had the brakes already  :happy2:

they were £90 with the bushes all in mint condition, well happy

does the r32 have them too seen as that has the bigger brakes??

S3 hubs are alloy too.. Im planning on doing both for mine now.. Plus Scirocco rear hubs and bottom arms, all alloy.. All helps for sure!

I think there is a good 20kg in replacing all the suspension components to the alloy items! Plus its all unsprung mass, so its extra important!

when briskoda comes back online, ill post up all the part numbers and bits required to do the job

essentially the TT has an additional 0.5degree adjustable camber, std i believe you rare loking at 1 degree negative, so with the TT lower arms(FWD) you can have 1.5 degrees negative. Not a huge increase but i bet more than enough to make it go through corners alot better.

I actually purchased a set back along, then sold swapped them with a friend for his H2sport top mounts which i decided to sell on.

heres a review of them inaction http://www.audi-sport.net/vb/showthread.php?t=71940&highlight=lower+arms

had a good drive this morning and can defo notice the difference, feels really smooth over bumpy surfaces alot less crashy over potholes etc, cant really say i noticed much cornering wise, glad i did it though. not really bothered about the extra camber to be honest

Cheers Simon/BMX.

I've been loking for a second hand set for a while, due to the weight - I didn't know they had a tweak more camber too. I'll start looking harder.

the S3 lower arms dont have the additional camber though according to vRStu, when he had a look at his.

Ahh - well I'll see what the TT ones cost and decide if its worth getting them, or S3 ones and some Whiteline MaxC topmounts and do it that way.

The more you can get on the bottom arm the better really mate.. If you wind a load of camber on the top mount that alters the geometry such that the roll centre will drop a good amount (more than you would think) and you end up making the whole front end softer in roll..

The only downside is that you loose clearance from the inside top of the wheel to the strut.. But thats probably not a problem unless your trying to fit huge wheels/tyres in there..
