urgent fuel flap help

So fuel flap snapped off the mrs 5 door golf , I have been told the whole fuel flap assembly off a mk4 golf fits in fine? Anyone any input?

I would fit in most cases, however, get down to a scrap yard asap grab them cheap as chips wrap it and chop done ;)

if you have a mk5 golf the mk4 is totally different and will not fit!

This happened to ours as well today - fuel flap currently sitting in the hallway! How did you sort it?

Wondering if some superglue would sort it (it looks like it was just held together by glue previously, with the splodges (technical term) around where it has fell off...)

Ah, nothing a little bit of spray paint won't fix. A trip to Halfords and you can have it colour coded in a jiffy. As a short term fix, it's better than leaving no cover on at all! But I appricate the annoyance not being able to get a colour coded one is.

To that end, contact a breakers yard, I've used these guys before and they're alright;

Will contact them, thanks. Looks sh*t without a fuel flap!!

And seen a black one on ebay as well - stupid as it sounds though, there is more than 1 black, so don't know which one this is:

The seller doesn't know - it's just "black". Could take a chance I guess - probably more metallic blacks sold (which ours is), so a decent bet??
