I'm finding that , even with the bass all the way up, I can't get anywhere near the bass with the RCD300.  It just doesn't reproduce the lower frequencies.
Anyone in the South Wales area got an RNS510 I could compare with ?

Lyons - sorry i dont know. What i do know is that i'll have the standard Ed30 set up. I seem to have two speaker grills in each of the front doors. The one towards the back appears nearly twice the size of the other so maybe two speakers behind there?

Not my area of expertise i'm afraid.  :ashamed:

You'll probably have a mid bass at the bottom rear of the door, a mid by your window switches and a tweeter in the mirror triangle ?

It does sound like the Loud button is not activated which can only be done by adapting line 50 on the navigation through VCDS,  also  if you go to this thread ive put a the screen shots for the RNS510.

Ok, taken me a while , but I went in to set up and low and behold ......the loudness was on !!  Now I'm really disappointed ! Should I try changing the outputs ( soundpack , etc) or would this just lower it even further ?  Or do I just get an amp and small sub ?

Could it just simply be that some of the ones bought second hand are set up for the soundpack, and thats why some are spot on (like 997GT3's) and some arent?

Or is there more to it?
