you can buy porsche 4 pots for not far off that rich.  :chicken:

Fully refurbished?

Bit of paint and a seal kit, not that much.
Seal kit probably about £40 and powdercoating will be about 20 quid per caliper.

I just don't understand why you'd buy a set of not that good brakes for £350 + carriers + discs + pads when you can buy working, visually OK Porsche calipers which work infinitely better for £250 + carriers + discs + pads...

No one in their right mind would referb and powdercoat for those prices. Decent job you are looking at ~100 each.

Yep. If you want a proper job done by brake caliper refurbs then you are looking at a decent chunk.

Thinking of the original plan now. Ttrs/rs3 calipers. Just undecided on custom brackets to run TTS 340m discs, or chance it on the TTRS 370m discs. Which are damn expensive.

I'd go down the 370mm route unless you plan to keep the car long term, thus taking advantage of cheaper 340mm consumables.

I am going or TTRS calipers and 370mm discs, when time come to change the discs I will look for brackets to fit a smaller disc... But until that... :driver:

Rebuild the calipers at home, off the car it's easy.
If you're paying for someone else to do it, then a good chunk of the money is time.......which is fine, but if you can do it yourself, why not?

Going to say this is caps to put the point across:

DO NOT POWDERCOAT BRAKE CALIPERS.

Now now ladies.

Probably cheaper in the interim to go TTRS calipers, HEL lines and EBC TTRS discs. I'll be getting TTRS calipers custom painted though and rears done to match. Eventually.

Just a small matter of house sale and divorce to sort out.  :signLOL:

Probably the best bang for your buck in that respect.
To keep initial costs down at least you could stick with the 370mm discs and get the carriers/discs for the 340mm when you inevitably warp the standards.
