No boost...help
« on: January 15, 2015, 10:36:04 pm »
Hi all,

Had no boost for several days now...changed DV, tested pcv...had a loom for some leaks no such luck. When i go to go in to the rev range for the turbo i hear a slight sound coming from the engine bay similar to injectors sending fuel but nothing else.

No engine management light etc...

Had a vagcom read yesterday and the only faults i got was a P1531 - camshaft timing adjustment open circuit.

And 00003 control module malfunction

Would these cause a turbo cut off?

Quite possible, yes. If the ECU can't work out what the camshaft is doing it'll go into limp mode for safety.

I would look at the N75 Valve if you have boost problems, mine went on my 1.8T and it did not show any errors at all, but they are a pig to get to on a K03 turbo.

Where about are you based mate? Anywhere near a good tuning company (AKS, AMD, R-Tech ect.)? Might be worth getting a proper mechanic who tunes these engines to have a look for you. Don't loose hope (as hard as it is when things are f**king up for you).
