Picked up a bargain BYD from an ex - work colleague who'd used the engine for some EGR Development so its had a really easy life and minimal hours on it. The turbo has several bosses and an additional EGR take off flange fabricated to it and I'd like to replace this section. The rest of the turbo is in excellent condition. I've contacted several turbo suppliers and they claim the manifold with integrated turbine housing is only available as part of a complete turbo assembly.
Now I could get a second hand blower for around £400 but it seems such a waste of the one I have. Does anyone know of any tubular or cast aftermarket manifolds that you can pick up (good quality ones) ? Obviously if they're substantially more than £400 a turbo replacement is more cost effective.
