Cars booked I for the 20/3/15 vw paying 100% for everything both wings and sills which I'm happy about plus a free courtesy car :)
Cars estimated to be in for one week just hope they do a good job and the cars in safe hands anyone on here ever used VW LOOKERS BLACKBURN??
:)

Did you get any grief about the sills?
Ive been offered a goodwill contribution and still quoted me £500!

Nope no problems at all all free of charge I'm well happy  :happy2:

I have heard a few stories about damage but again its down to who is doing the work and how much the dealers care about customers. My car is going to an approved repairers so in theory for them to carry on getting work from VW they need to do a good job! Well thats what im hoping haha

Looks like I'll have to write a letter to head office then, do you mind me using you as an example?
Which VW did you go to? Did you get the csr from then? FVSH?

Thanks

Was that sills & wings for a month? Mine is just 2 front wings but I'm not getting a courtesy car so no way should that take a month.

No joy with mine.

Took it in yesterday for them to have a look at, they took paint depth readings and it's way over the thickness it should be, they also said they think it's got filler on the wings.  So, because a previous owner at some point in it's history has decided to do a sh*t repair, I can't get it repaired by VW under warranty.  Extremely pissed off!!

I asked how much it would cost if I was to pay and they said it would be about £500 per wing.

I also got them to look at rust around the rear badge, paint readings are fine.  They took some pictures and they will be sending them off to VW UK to ask if it can be repaired under warranty.

Thats a bit sh*t mate on the plus side ive heard that euro car parts do some reasonably prices wings. Im sure a local bodyshop will do a good job and offer a price thats easier to swallow than the stealers!

I've looked at the ECP wings and if you go for the Platinum Plus versions, they're are supposed to be the same ones you'd get from the dealer. Fully insurance and Thatcham approved and they're only £55 each.

Seems like a bargain so I think I'll purchase them and stick them in the spare room until the ones on the car start to look terrible.
