I've already seen pretty much all of these pics but good to see it in a thread too!

Still gutted about the Ring/Zandvoort matey....would've been amazing if I could have joined you too.

What Train is that ? Where does that comparison come from ? I would expect your car pulls more like a plane and you have misheard the comment previously ? I think i'll be getting one of these in the future, especially in white -

Well just got back from a Ring trip last week  :happy2:
but before i went i changed my bottom arms and fitted B16s Ride control suspension (change settings via app on phone)

didnt come without its problems tho as usual, had these fitted the day before and the Superpro bottom arms have moved my wheels forward slightly, so the 235 cup 2s on the TDs were catching the front bumper  :sad1: (were fine before) luckily i had 225 Super sports fitted on the Oz's but wait for it ! the Ozs wont clear the Alcons  :sad1: and 10mm spacers caused the same problem as the 235's so a tyre swap was the only way out, 225 SSports onto the TDs, that sorted it  :happy2:
Well got to the Ring and time to test things out a little, suspension into pre set Sport setting car into race mode off i went, initial thoughts were a little un nerving, with the pace of the car and the steering far too skitish on the bumpy track, was pretty dangerous to say the least, so after a few laps to get use to things i altered it into Sport+ and steering into normal in the race mode settings,
Now your talking... steering much softer and this made a huge difference and got a lot more confident with the car, This thing flys ... much quicker than my 6 gti was, can get on the power much much earlier and been able to fully disable the Tcontrol is a great advantage aswell,
The trip and the car was great ... my mate took his van as his car was off the road still waiting for a gearbox shaft, not just an ordinary van tho  with nearly 300bhp and 565lb ft it was no slouch haha had such a laugh and he got a 10.07 .. beating the top gear record was with yellow flags and busy bank hol tourist day aswell haha

Me filming him on the Go Pro

My best time and a few pics of the trip  :happy2:

I'm so fed up of reading threads about peoples ring trips, i'm literally green with jealousy right now, looks like you had an awesome time. How did the car behave itself generally? 8 minutes is a quick time, well done.

Where did you get insurance from? I've phoned a few places and they say they don't do European race tracks, I've got a real itch to go and I think once I sell my wheels temptation might be too much

Loving this car BTW, really making the best of what was already a great car out the box.

Looks absolutely bloody raring for it Neil, and your BTG times are very decent.
Impressed with how sharp it looks on the TD wheels, 10:07 in a van is also bloody good
