Vetech S3 wishbones?
« on: January 16, 2015, 09:43:52 pm »
Hi all! I'm wanting some s3 wishbones as my console bushes are on there way out and the lightness and harder rear bushes are tempting me towards s3 arms.

Im having trouble finding them atm... obviously i could just ring Audi and buy them but i can see them bending me over royally

Ive found these on GSF at £75 each. Made by a company called vetech (doesn't sound too great), but the main thing worrying me is that the specs say they are cast steel but they are supposed to be aluminium, aren't they? so this leads me to wondering if they have the harder bushes in them? Or they are simply cheap wishbones that fit an s3 but aren't necessarily oem spec.

I looked at golf wishbones are they are slightly cheaper and look slightly different which leads me to think they are s3 item, i just don't want to end up with wishbones are identical to golf ones....

anyone used these before?

IIRC the Gen alloy arms complete with Solid s3 console are only about £160-£170 a pair from TPS, I bought some recently, cant lay my hands on the invoice but def less than £200

Buy genuine bits

Poly bushed etc wont fit in either if you come to retrofit.

I searched ebay for Passat alloy arms (same thing essentially) but much cheaper.
Double check part numbers but could be a cheaper route.
