Alternate ECU's Question
« on: November 24, 2009, 08:46:36 pm »
Been speaking to a mate today and he called me to see if the Audi TTS ecu would go into the DSG ED30, said something about the changes been better and felt smoother and faster,  obviously going to be faster than a standard ed30 with and extra 35bhp but any info into this maybe an alternative to mapping???.

As far as I know all of the DSG boxes are the same, there are small differences in the software but you can always go to the dealer and update to the latest version..

100% its not worth doing that, the mechatronic unit is a little bit more expensive than Revo are asking for a far superior map

I'm not sure whether or not the TT-S have the newer, lighter 7spd dry-clutch box?
Only 250.1bhp - but with that noise, who cares?

Yup, Tom would be able to confirm this but im sure its the same box as whats in the S3 S-Tronic..

The ratios are the same throughout the whole 6MAN and DSG boxes..

Just to clarify Jonny, do you mean all the 6sp manuals all have the same ratios and then separate to that all the DSG's have the same ratios, or DSG's and manuals have the same ratios?

I thought that the DSG's had slightly different ratios to manuals.
Golf R gone.
