MDI armrest lead - same as iPod armrest?

I want to remove the MDI in my armrest as i'm not going to use it and could do with the storage so am thinking of selling it. Is this a direct swap if you have the iPod adapter or is the lead different.

Just being lazy and don't really want to remove the loom from the stereo due to the PITA factor.  :grin:

Little off topic but does anyone else notice that the sound quality is quite poor when using the ipod dock through armrest? Seems very queite in mine and little tinny compared to when a cd is played through head unit!

I'd like to know this, but in reverse. I have an iPod Dock, can I use the same loom for the MDI armrest? I'd guest not.

Thats what i'm trying to find out. A fellow forum member might be interested in the MDI, they currently have an iPod adapter and i want to know if the same loom can be used or does it need the MDI loom.

Nope!!! Same loom for ipod and cd-changer but MDI has a different loom! Real PITA to change!!!
