Hi Dave,

Do you mean you want to upgrade from the MFD2 which is a Satnav unit to the MFD3 which is the RNS510 satnav that comes with Dab also?

If you want link your iPhone to a RCD510 or RNS510, both of which can come with DAB there are a couple of options, the cheapest is the RCD510 DAB.

Using an RCD510 non DAB as example of approx. costs

£180 RCD510 Headunit
£70   Gateway
£10   FM aerial adapter

You then have three options for connecting your iphone. Based on you want to play music only.
1- £10.00 Aux input installed next to the gearstick (or)
2- £200.00 MDI installed in either the armrest or glovebox (or)
3- £150.00 For 7P6 Bluetooth adapter to stream music by Bluetooth but you'll only get Mono.

You will need to find somebody with VCDS to code the gateway or failing that EDDIE-NL will be able to provide you with a pre coded gateway.
