Help removing centre caps
«
on:

Went to replace the wheel caps in my wheels but they don't seem to come off very easily and when I did mange to pull at it the front facing came off but not the whole cap? I've just had the wheels refurbished so am nervous to go prodding around too much! Any advice on an easy way to pull them off?

I would say, take the wheel off and push from the other side

Was trying to avoid doing this but if it's the only way then maybe it will have to be! I was thinking of getting a suction rod and pulling it off lol

As said, safest way is to hit them from behind

Wheels off and push from behind or bore a hole in centre and pull off.

Self tapping screw through and pull out. But as mentioned taking the wheel off is the best method I found!

Quickest method, drill a hole. Otherwise take the wheels off and then seal them.

As already suggested, if these are going to be binned then hammer a small flathead screwdriver through the middle of them and pull out, or drill a hole, easy job.

I replaced mine with a set from VW.
Slow drilled a Phillips/ Cross screw into each center cap and pulled off using the screw. Took about 5 mins to remove all 4 and replace with new ones.
