choice of exhaust system??
« on: January 26, 2015, 07:42:44 pm »
So i'm thinking about installing an exhaust system but having trouble deciding which one ????
Ive heard the milltek is probably the best build however the scorpion sounds better?

Also if i was to get a decat downpipe would i have to get a spacer to stop the engine management light coming on ?

Get a BCS mate, there are tons of rave reviews about them on here. Also they've got a group buy coming soon I believe. A decat will set the sensors off but I think it can just be sorted through VCDS

Do people generally now just go for the Bcs systems instead of other ones?   Is this because they are proven or the 'favourite'  as before people used to go for all different types eg scorpion, janspeed, magnex.

Just curious as some of these are avaliable but people don't seem to go for them so to speak?

I've heard good things about EMP Performance, they custom build exhausts for you. I just emailed them yesterday asking about prices and what they have to offer, and they offer a cat back system for Mk5s for £350, fully fitted with lifetime guarantee.

Sound, quality of build and forum discount help to sell these.

The quality of the welds & materials  speaks for it's self tbh. Tuners have also noticed a better result from BCS exhausts as the cats flow well, and are the only true 3in throughout system (Miltek drops to 2.75in towards the back).
