The R32 setup all round would be a big improvement over the standard brakes and would be enough stopping power but personally I would rather leave the rears and try to get some 4pots on the front.

I had the R32 fronts with std rears and they were a big improvement over the std fronts and had plenty of stopping power but now with the TTRS setup I have so much confidence in the middle pedal and it was worth every penny.

Don't get the TTRS discs, I went for the DaveB brackets from AKS tuning with 340mm TTS discs. The brackets and discs all in cost me £400 which is about the same as a new set of TTRS discs (which are pants) and now it'll only cost me £140ish to replace the discs.

Looking at r32 fronts and rears, I don't take it on track but I do love a country road drive  :driver: will I see a decent improvent to benefit spending the money on them? Cars running about 320bhp at the moment

I'm a big fan of the R32/S3 setup, reasonably priced and a huge improvement on the 312s, much of that comes from not only the obvious increase in disc diameter but that big old 51mm single piston gives a nice pedal and a slightly over-servoed 'grab' which I think gives you a lot of confidence in them as fast road brakes imo
I used mine without complaints on lots of track days and with the right pads and fresh fluid they hold their own up to a point, only downside is the increase in weight and the relatively limited pad choice, although you can get project mu, endless and some Pagid compounds along with the usual Mintex 'M' range and Ferodo DS etc

Great bang for buck mod  :happy2:

As for the extra weight, you'll only ever notice it as slightly heavier steering at most, can be reduced slightly by using the TTS discs and even more so by using S3 lower arms,
The R32 kit will never win any scene points but for the money it's a easy and huge improvement in braking compared to the stock brakes  :happy2:

You won't be disappointed with the R32's all round, especially with braided hoses 5.1 fluid and some decent pads and discs they'll be a very big improvement over the STD brakes. Yes they're heavier bit tbh with 320bhp and I'm assuming 320lb/f + you won't feel as if your car suddenly got really slow. I did notice though that when I went to the TTRS setup steering just feels a bit sharper and more agile.

The reason I suggest some 4pot kit is because of you're going to the expense and effort of doing it then you may as well do it right. Decent R32's all round with new hoses/ pads and discs will be about £750?? I managed to put mine together for just over £1k and I bought new everything and had them refurbished. For me that £250 is well worth it.

To add I'd personally not bother with the rears from the R32 setup, the fronts alone make enough of a difference and although the fears do bring some extra balance to the system as a whole I think the fronts only makes for a more involving drive especially on track  :happy2:

TTS discs, HEL lines and some new OE fluid can be had for £200, some tatty calipers off ebay and refurb yourself? (Surprisingly easy with the R32 calipers) should all come in around £500..
