No boost....DV?
« on: January 30, 2015, 04:27:13 pm »
Hi guys just a quick question, coming back from York today and put my foot down and had no boost....I've read up on it and put it down to a split dv. There's also no turbo noise at all from my EVOMs kit.
So I've ordered a GFB DV+ as I've seen the good reviews and need it to be trouble free. However, I won't be able to get it done till next weekend now and need to use the car....will this cause any further issues? Or should i not use the car? Also does the dv fit into a broken one as it replaces the internal bits on what I can see? I've got the fitting guide up to use so should be straight forward fitting! Any help would be appreciated! Thanks :)

Wong cause any issues, just take it steady and get it replaced ASAP.

For you to have no boost, the DV must be in a bad way

Well there might be some slight boost, not had chance to look with the laptop yet. Just feels like none....lol. Only had it changed 5k ago under warranty....could anything else cause it to not boost? There's no errors when scanned so I've ruled out the n 75? And I've checked the pcv valve

I can here something when revving it on idle yes and the exhaust is alot louder. All the intercooler pipes are still attached and and i've checked the intake and PCV. Not sure what else it could be and I cant get it into the garage till after this week. Getting the DV off on Wednesday so we shall see.....
