VW will always price match an independent. I like you bought my car with full vw history and chose to keep it that way.
I receivd a report with a few minor things which need repairing, but I have asked my mechanic to sort out the repairs using original parts bought from TPS.
Although I have 1.4 GT with a timing chain & was advised by VW that timing "belt" was due to be replaced.
