GTR's are so damn tuneable though. I went for a passenger ride in a 675bhp one including a launch, holy f*ck I could hardly breathe when it took off.

Back in the summer 2years ago when I still had my stg2 eddy,a 335d overtook me easily :surprised:
It was bloody quick

With just a map and exhaust they're insane, my friend had one for 6 months and beat a V8 R8 in it, they have crazy torque.

 :surprised: :surprised: :surprised:
Was that from a rolling start?

Isn't the B5 a reworked M5?

4.4 v8 bi turbo..... It sounded epic.

Nah he said it was about 60 - 140 and the R8 couldn't catch him.

106 gti's are quick, a friend had one a few years ago, fully stripped out with a few mods and it fair shifted!

I was very surprised. This one had obviously been modded to a certain extent due to its loud exhaust so it wouldn't surprise me if it had a few other tweeks under the skin. I was just a bit disappointed that I didn't leave it for dead like I thought my car would! Perhaps a remap is needed in due course!

I kept with a Nissan GTR (early model) leaving a 50mph section, the clouds of black smoke told me he was trying
I'm saving for one as my next car, I drive a stage 2+ hybrid edition and I would be well peeved to say the least if my eddy is quicker.

All sorts!
Regularly harassed by 320/325d's, had to catch a 1.9tid Saab last week after I span up for what seemed a lifetime!

Before I had my DV replaced a guy at a second set of lights even asked me if it was "a real gti?!" Better now but my stock gti certainly isn't a drag weapon.  :chicken:A lot of fast cars around now!  :driver:

I had it on my bike a few years ago, came up a slip road with a bmw behind me, unsure what model it was when I just mooned the throttle and went for it, was completely flat out on the bike when it came past me like I was stood still!

How hard can it be?

Not a Golf but I had my Focus's ars@ handed over by sapphire cosworth a few months ago, I have my suspicions that he was lightly modded :happy2: he didn't overtake me but I couldn't pull away from him

In Alpina tune, BMW’s twin-turbocharged 4.4-litre V8 produces 532bhp at 5200-6250rpm and 541lb ft from just 2800rpm. That's enough, says the firm, to take the car from 0-62mph in 4.5sec and onto a gloriously unrestricted 198mph
