Clutch/gearbox question
« on: February 02, 2015, 07:37:17 pm »
We have a 2.0gt TDI, that has had a revo remap to around 180bhp and pulls like an absolute train in all gears, although it doesn't get ramped as its our family car.
But for the last couple of days the clutch/gearbox has started to show signs of playing up.
The problems were finding are sometimes it's hard to get out of and into gears, although it's not doing it all the time.
And when throttling off you can feel movement in the clutch pedal without having to touch the pedal.
Anyone had any experience of this?
I'm thinking it's maybe time for a clutch? It's coming up to 122k and not sure if it's even had a clutch in it.
Thanks in advance for any help.

Is the clutch slipping at all?

No the clutch doesn't slip, But sometimes when fully compressed it feels as if the cars still trying to creep forward.
And on one occasion there was a funny whirring noise from the box. Just wondering now if maybe its the clutch bearing?
