Danny from Glasgow!
« on: February 05, 2015, 07:24:42 pm »
Hey guys! New here! Picked up my 3 door Mk5 Edition 30 (number 563) on Friday! I bought it through a garage near to me when I went in to see something else! Its done 85k and the cambelt and waterpump and clutch done which I was happy with. The lad tells me that its had some Revo software installed on it along with a Miltek and reckons its circa 300bhp (I'm led to believe that's what these map to?)

Either way, it goes like the hammers of hell (in the dry!) - happy enough with it in any case! I'm going to have the car booked into a Ecotune shortly to try and ascertain what its been mapped with as I have no paper work to support what I'm being told it is! Will get around to that shortly! I gather that stage 1 and miltek exhaust is a common upgrade? Does the clutch and fuel pump manage with this set up???

I'm used to driving Clio 172's and to be honest this is the only German car I've ever had! Some pics...

Heres also a quick picture of my Clio 172 Cup (which is for sale lol)

Hopefully find out more as I go along but I'm happy enough with it so far!

Welcome Danny! Ed30s map to around 290-300bhp without any other mods so it's probaby around that mark if all is healthy.

Nice! I went from a Clio 172  to the ED30 as well ( I didn't have the cup though). Both good cars but you can't beat the mid range from the turbo motor.   Clutch is slipping on mine at 55k with the remap,  so you might be lucky or perhaps the clutch was done previously. Enjoy it
