Genuine VW Bluetooth kit
« on: January 25, 2015, 10:09:03 pm »
Been looking at the 9w7 for a while as I have an rns510 and would like to stream my music, however just stumbled across this and from what I can see it's very similar but obviously has its own screen rather than being linked through the stereo..

Any one have one of these or know if they are any good?
This one also seems a good price with the vw cable included?

I have one of these in my mk5 (originally from a mk6) and it works great, but I don't have the additonal 'music' wire which means I can't use it to stream music.

Other than that though, it's a great hands-free kit which pauses / mutes music on my RNS510 whenever there is a voice command or incoming call, and the voice dial function works great.

Better than the last Parrot kit I owned  :happy2:

I put one of these in my ED30 to sell as I removed the Fiscon, it is a very poor relation in comparison but it works. Forget about streaming music, it was horrific. Though the box takes a 3.5mm aux.
I still had an MDI though for music.
Used to have Edition 30 - number 009 and a GT TDI 140.
Now have an S4 B8 Avant (stage 2)
