GTI Turbo
« on: February 07, 2015, 09:54:17 am »
In need of a new turbo for my GTI due to the actuator snapping. Can anyone recommend a decent place that sell recon turbos or new turbos? Thanks

If it's just the actuator that's the problem then you can get a forge one and use their green spring if you are not mapped...
Without traction power is nothing!

Yea thanks, i've just been looking into this, rung awesome gti and they can supply and fit for 4 hours labour which isnt too bad! If i were to get it mapped down the line would a different spring be better?

You should only use the stiffer yellow spring if you also have an uprated hpfp that will be able to supply the extra fuel. iirc forge only advises the yellow spring with stage 2+ maps.

Thats great thanks for your help! Ordered a standard one yesterday. Even if I map it I will only be going stage 1 so should be fine. Fingers crossed it all goes well now....also got a GFB DV+ to go on  :happy2:
