Bit of reassurance please
« on: March 08, 2015, 08:04:56 am »
Morning guys
After having a good look for a while I've been offered a 55 plate Gti 5 door, 69,000 miles,DSG, BWA engine code, sat nav, parking sensors, multifunction steering wheel, full Vw service history, cream/beige interior (which I'm not completely sure about)
Wheels need a refurb..... But that's it!

Ive been offered it for £5,500. I think it's a pretty good price, what does everyone else think?

That's a very good price. About 18months ago I paid £6400 fro a 2005 3dr manual with 87k sat nav/ leather/ xenon's/ winter pack/ comfort pack and wheels needed a refurb also.

That's a very good price considering it has full VW service history and only 69k,just make sure all the service's are checked out and confirmed to be genuine and the DSG box has has it's services too and does'nt judder and is smooth in operation or it could get expensive as the mechtronic unit's are known to be the weak point on some of the early car's! :happy2:

Don't mean to cause alarm and maybe there's a good explaination, but i would have thought a 55 plate would have come with an AXX engine

It's a 2006 car so maybe it was one of the first of the BWA range???

Was the beige leather an option on the Gti?
How hard can it be?

It was an option, I think it was removed as a option mid 2005 I think. My cars got it, it's very marmitey everyone whos been in my car says its nice but some don't like it. Looks best in a black/blue car... Black leather in a black cars to much and it's a good contrast between the two
