Oil catch can

After an oil catch can and really want the forge one with braided hoses but I don't fancy paying £350 for one!

Anyone got any pictures of theres all set up?

Would be a good help in deciding what one to go for!

I never thought about it before but after my mate getting one and seeing how much oil was in it after about a month was a lot!

Jury is out on whether they work or not, but I can tell you that the braided hose on the Forge is faux. It's a fabric sheath with jubilee clips cunningly disguised. An area to be more concerned with is an effective baffle structure, here the Forge seems to be OK. I'm sure others are too.

I have a Forge can and yes I empty loads of crud out of it. I imagine a fair proportion of it is water due to condensation forming in the can directly, especially in colder weather. Here's mine after 1200 miles back in the summer last year. You can differentiate between the oil and water.

The hoses are Black nylon textured covering a NBR hose reinforced with stainless steel braid.

And

The reason I want one is because of that!

Fair enough. Mines a year old and it's none of those things. There's no stainless steel reinforcement and mine has a woven jacket covering a standard looking oil resistant hose which is reinforced but not with stainless steel.

More boost more blowby that's why I run one.. I wouldn't say worthless but I wouldn't pay £350 for one

i have a revo catch can.. but i had to mod the location were i fitted it . its supposed to go where the carbon canister goes. it does collect quite a bit of sludge. i think it is better to catch it than go back into the engine

Yeah £350 is a lot for something so simple but im really fussy haha
Want it to look good and they don't use jubbilee clips so it looks nice and neat!

I just took this which illustrates what I was saying earlier. You can clearly see jubilee clips and fake aeroquip fittings. I turned mine around as they're easier to get at this way. Take away the sleeving and it's exactly the same as the Revo one. But hey, maybe I'm still wrong despite a photograph!
