Look forward to see the progress, sounds like a nice list of mods to come especially the ed30 rear bumper

Yeah, it's time to put new shocks as well, if you can.

Have you looked into DIY about fitting auto-dimming rear view mirrors? They should explain how to remove your current mirror.

Will have to see if shocks have already been changed or are originals.

What about drop links, do I need adjustable or shorter ones?
For those springs I think the OEM are enough.

UPDATE

Eibachs fitted over the weekend with new top mounts and drop links.

Also had a cv boot replaced and applied some settings via VCDS like lock and unlock of doors, length of time coming home lights stay on for etc and boot pop (for when I get struts).

Such a huge improvement in looks and no scraping issues :happy2:

Thanks mate,  Awesome GTI claim the drop is 20-25 mm but I think it's a bit more than that.

As it's a daily driver and sees 70 miles every day I need to stay sensible

Boot pop installed, but I'm having trouble with it. Hopefully its just because the struts are new and are stiff but when I'm popping it, it won't fully open until the 3rd attempt. The boot hinges have had a light greasing (spray) but it didn't really make much difference.

I have played with the adjustable stops but for it to pop properly every time they stick out too far and make the tailgate out of alignment around the lights etc.

They have been installed as per the youtube videos where the tailgate was shut then the bump stops brought out by 2 clicks.

Just wondered if anyone else has had a similar problem to start with...

Hardly atall mate. I believe these and H&R are the better options. Would fully recommend.

Thanks mate, though its nothing compared to most on here.

Got the springs off here, was lucky as they were BNIB and a good price.

I'm having second thoughts now about the R32 rear. If I can cancel it on monday I think I will.

Not much of an update but I cancelled the R32 rear.

Gave it a good clean with the Juicy bits I picked up at Ultimate Dubs.
