Stock Monza Offset
« on: November 25, 2009, 08:59:04 pm »
Width: 7.5J
Rim Diameter:    18 inches
Offset: 45
Number of Studs: 5
Stud Diameter: 112

Can I confirm that's the standard setup on the stock Monza II 18" wheels chaps?

Looking at getting a replica set to tie me over till I'm insured for non stock spec as long as they don't weigh too much.
Cheers.
Pete

Will they sit more proud on 45 or deeper into the arches?

More proud 7.5J and 45 offset sounds nice. 6 mil further out than stock.  :happy2:

The only thing you need to check is the bolts shoulder if supplied with the wheel. You should be fine with Monza reps, but a lot of aftermarket wheels need new bolts with them as well, Because the wheels are designed for other makes :happy2:

Just mentions it comes with a fitting kit. Can I use the bolts I've got with the current standard Monza I's?

Just check them against they ones they supply. Like i say if the shoulder of the bolt is the same then you can use your originals.
I would think they will be the same as i cant imagine them Making Monza's for other makes of car.  :chicken:

My Pro race wheels are fitted to all sorts of cars thats why they supply fitting kits for Vag. I f i used my original bolts with these the wheels would fly off after about a mile.   :scared:  :happy2:

Both the GTI and ED30 pescs are ET51, the Audi BBS's that are similar to pescs are ET56 like the S3 std rims

So do I just do a visual comparison between the bolt shoulders?

Yeah they're reps so in theory they could throw anything in, I want to use the correct bolts this time unlike I'd done previously and learnt the hard way

Thanks TC.

This guy is selling an 'Edition 30' wheel, but notice in the listed details, he states the part number as 8PO 601 25R and Et as 54.

Yep visual check will do, i am not to good at describing this type of thing, but the section in between the thread and the head of the bolt should be same on both bolts i think the differenc between the 2 is one has a rounded shoulder and one a flat angle.
Also if the bolts are the same and you decide to use the originals, then i would just do a check on how many threads of the bolt are actually fixing into the hub. If you look at your originals then you can clearly see the line on them, showing  how far they have gone in. Its easy just to put some plumbers white tape or white marker on them and try with your new wheels.  :happy2:

Hey TC, they arrived earlier. They're 8.0J instead of 7.5J despite listing 7.5 width on the ebay listing. Called up and the guy there said this won't make any difference.

What are the implications, does it affect the speedo or anything else? I'm right in saying this is literally the rim width, right?

Little bit anxious now so be cool to know I haven't got to exchange them  :happy2:

Thanks bud.
Pete
