RNS 510 and Highline issue
« on: November 25, 2009, 09:37:08 pm »
Had my RNS for about 6 weeks or so now and noticed today that the compass screen on the MFD was not showing road name as it usually does, then I also noticed the direction on the compass was locked (i.e. not moving as I turned corners) although the arrow next to the clock was showing the correct direction. Going into navigation mode the screen worked as normal. Anyways after switching the car off for half hour or so it all started working fine :stupid:

Any one had experience of this, the car has not been coded with VAGCOM so maybe this is it??

You may need to turn off the compass in the car, then the car can read for the compass in the rns. Did you have a factory fitted nav before the rns?
