Power to be expected from R-tech
« on: February 13, 2015, 02:22:36 pm »
So I currently have a DSG Edition 30 with a scorpion decat/downpipe and a BCS catback and a ITG intake, I have a new DV fitted also. I would probably be looking at going to Rtech for a remap as well as a DSG remap. Does anyone have an idea on what figures I can expect, I was thinking 320/330 ish.

You will be massively limited in the mid range by your stock fuel pump. 335bhp may be possible but Niki will have to hold it back to prevent fuel cuts. If you can afford a HPFP you will get loads more mid range & torque  :happy2:

320 bhp and 330 lb ft is about your limit. I have niki's same remap on mine.

Get him to do torque limit launch assist on your DSG box which will up your shift limiter whilst your there to get into the 330's

Ignore headline figures it's all about how the power/torque is made and held IMO.

No very do'able with the K04 and correct software, as shorty said, headline figures aren't important but one thing you can bet is that Rtechs maps are the smoothest around.

@Horatio   I got 314bhp with only a panel filter and a 3in downpipe & sports cat mates to OEM cat back.

Steve & others have had 330bhp from intake and TBE. Decat should net a few more ponies top end  :happy2:

Heres mine :)

ITG Induction
Full Miltek Sports Cat
THS Intercooler
DSG

Very linear, useable power (as usable as 330bhp in FWD can be...), can't recommend them enough mate. I'll be taking my new car there asap. Also the DSG remap is a MUST, made such a huge difference.

Yeah I was thinking of getting it remapped and then in the future possibly getting a HPFP.

Yeah, I meant get a HPFP and then get it remapped again but probably no point in doing it that way. I might just get it remapped how it is now and then possibly get a intercooler and Hpfp in the future. As 320/330hp is not exactly slow for a daily driver especially once it is lowered and the geo is set up.

That's what I'm doing mate, will go back for more power once I've got HPFP and the other bits.

You will be blown away with the mods you have combined with Niki's map anyway  :happy2:
