Horn not working after MFSW swap-another fault appeared!
« on: February 14, 2015, 11:21:41 am »
i have just fitted my MFSW and harness put it all back together and tried the horn and it doesn't work. I have connected the new loom exactly as the old standard loom and it doesn't work.

I haven't fitted the steering controller yet as this needs coding in, will this be the problem, or have I damaged something doing the swap?

I didn't think I would be able to. I was under the impression I needed to have it coded before fitting, which will only be happening next week. Will I be ok to do this and run around till it gets coded in?

Steering wheel is in and working along with the horn.

Next question is the star button and the phone button don't work on the wheel, I have a Bluetooth module and a RCD 510 dab radio fitted, just wandering what is needed to get them working?

I have controller no 5KO 035 730D in, I have a diagram that was sent win the lead is it just a case of connecting the wires as follows and it will work or is yet more coding required?

Will this also make the telephone symbol on the wheel work too?

HY! Could you tell me how you solved the horn? I have the same problem, I fitted a Highline MFSW Module and now the horn isn't working. Thanks!
