Few questions on DSG, forgive my naivety/stupidity....
So in sport mode in DSG, does it simply rev to the redline in each gear? At what sort of revs does it then kick down to a lower gear?
In drive mode, presumably it only revs to 4-5K before selecting next gear?
If using manual mode and flappy paddles, will it just bounce off the limiter if I don't change up or will it take over itself? What if I tap-tap-tap down from doing 70, will it drop down to second gear and blow up my engine or will it limit how low I can drop to?
Will paddles act as an override on the odd touch, I.e. Cruising at 70 then wanting to drop a cog for a quick burst?
Can you select DSG mode whilst driving or just stationery? What's stopping me hitting it in reverse when on the motorway? Presumably there's some fail safe? lol
Engine braking - does this become non existent?
Finally, how many times did you new owners nearly put yourself thought the windscreen by accidentally hitting the brake thinking it was your clutch? (Only ever drove an auto once and that was for 15mins, it was a horrendous experience for me but understand it will take time to grow accustomed)
