CD player different part no
« on: February 17, 2015, 10:20:17 pm »
Hi as I right in thinking the stock radio in the mk5 gti is a rcd300? I'm going to buy a 2nd hand one as mine spits CDs out and then finally reads the after like 30mins  :fighting: anyways do I need to match the part number up with the one I buy or just as long as it's a rcd300 it'll be fine?
I have the 6 cd multi changer to, that's why I want to check that if I get one with a different part number it'll still work with this

Hi Chris,

Couldnt comment on stock radio but i would recommend ditching the CD changer what you have and upgrading to an RNS510/RCD510. No more faffing with CD's anymore! Either load songs on to an SD card or direct onto the hard drive. Jobs a goodun!

Hope this helps
