Clutch & flywheel advise please
« on: February 17, 2015, 06:48:04 pm »
I'm going k04 on my gti in the next couple of months
Looking into uprated clutches & flywheels... What decent quality at a decent price?

Normally me personally I would advise people to go single mass... Would the single mass conversion not be cheaper than staying with duel mass?

I don't think there's much price difference but single mass is more harsh and has more vibration so is more of a weekend/ track use thing than a daily driver.

Helix organic from awesome GTI or @vRSAlex

Standard LUK flywheel from eurocarparts

I'd recommend getting the Ed. 30 and R20 LUK flywheel. It's a bit better than the one from the standard GTI.

Speak to Alex at AKS as he will make sure you get the right parts at the best price. Helix are cr@p at sending out the right parts - a few of us have had the wrong parts fitted  :sad1:
