So if you've got a manual g'box its too much effort & £££££s to get s/wheel buttons?

You could always get a new wheel!

Its a pity the button fitting isnt an option though. Is there no way to make holes for the wires? Ive never seen that area of the wheel so i dont know.

Ended up buying a full set from Germany after I was pipped at the post by someone else on Ebay who was bidding on the same left-hand set I was, back at the end of October.......  :signLOL:

 :signLOL:

Sorry about that Mark... I really wanted that left hand set!

The buttons that Mclovin just pointed out are the early type 2 phone buttons, the new type only have 1 phone button and a mute button a star.

I noticed that, so that means the left hand buttons I outbid Mark for are the newer type with up/down volume buttons, a star button and a phone button which is great. This is the right hand set I just bought:

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=220514770370&ru=http%3A%2F%2Fshop.ebay.co.uk%3A80%2F%3F_from%3DR40%26_trksid%3Dm38%26_nkw%3D220514770370%26_fvi%3D1&_rdc=1

I noticed the seller has two more left which might help out someone. Although the seller still hasn't got back to me with a total price including UK P&P, despite me sending me a message in my very best German (thank you Google Translate)... Hopefully it won't be an issue!

Mclovin they are the new type so will work with the RNS510 just fine,  apparently the old type buttons dont work well with the RNS510.

And has for german translation DONT most of them dont like it some take it as an insult,  just send them a message in english if they dont understand they'll translate it themselves.

Cheers

Darren

Thanks for the advice, luckily this seller didn't seem to mind too much! All sorted now and they should be on their way to me sometime tomorrow. Perfect.

So, that's the RNS-510 fitted, the amp and bluetooth to go in over the weekend and then the cruise control and MSFW buttons to do the weekend after that, lots to do!

Lol, brilliant VC. So are the button blocks just the same depth as the cap thats removed? Whats behind the wheel? could a hole not be drilled between the 2 holes the buttons pop into?

Thats odd - I charged myself a pint to fit my RNS510. Still a bargain!

Yep, you will need both sides, I had already picked up the left hand ones on ebay UK. You can fit them pretty easily if you have DSG as everything you need is already installed in your steering wheel, the only 'tricky' bit is removing the airbag. You don't need the highline installed to use these as far as I'm aware although as I have the highline myself I haven't looked into this in any great detail.

Does anyone know whether the Inserts that have the buttons already, come off or how are they fastened to the wheel, as i would like to try out some CF wraps.
