Eurojet TBE Too Loud!
« on: June 21, 2015, 02:24:10 pm »
Hello ppl,

Ive had my Eurojet tbe on for about a month or so now. When pushed hard it sounds really good but the only thing that lets it down is how loud it is in terms of cabin noise. It also can be a little drony at low speeds..

I now need a solution to this as its not the best for everyday use. Im thinking about a Millteck back box mated to the system to quiten it and also should add a nice tone too

Any other suggestions???

Thanks in advance;)

Hi,

The main thing that causes drone inside the car is the lack of (or too small) a resonator.

When I bought my milltek non-res system, it took me a couple of months to grow tired of the drone at 1500-2500 revs. A visit to my local exhaust place and a small resonator later, the system is much more tolerable, while retaining the tone of the milltek backbox  :happy2:

I chose a resonated Milltek for this reason, although I had no experience of a non-resonated beforehand. I just took my garages advice when I went stage 2+. Mine also has the same tone but not loud. Also still does what it's supposed to for the engine and gets under the most stringent sound level check at track days.

Gone but not forgotten :-)

I know how you feel,  i had eurojet system fitted,  sounds great when you boot it but cruising on motorway etc was awful so had it removed after couple weeks,  back to standard sysmtem with precat removed an aswel as the sound it runs an alot better an turbo picks up quicker

Thanks for the replies. Yes i will visit the exhaust shop that fitted it in the weekend and see what we can do! I do like the idea of a milltek back box though, i just think it would great with this system!
