Faulty Boot sensor
« on: February 19, 2015, 06:34:16 pm »
Hi Guys. Hoping someone can help. Closed the boot this afternoon and the dash now constantly has the boot open warning and the rear wiper and reverse light aren't working. The boot closes fine so guessing that the sensor is faulty. Is there a way of disconnecting the sensor?

Because of the nature of your fault I wouldn't expect the latch to be faulty ( item 15)

I would look at the wiring between the tailgate to body banjo rubbers - it's common the wires snap within the rubber and can cause a range of faults!
This explains it
