« on: November 26, 2009, 03:41:02 pm »
do i have to use the stuff vw sell???

i just went in to get a replacement squirter thing as it had got all bunged up. (i ended just paying the £5.50 as getting it under warranty meant booking the car in for a day!!!!) They said that you have to use theirs or it will get bunged up...and you wont be covered under warranty?? bit OTT aint it..

Yup, use the VW stuff if you don't want your fan jets to become blocked.

i use autoglym screen wash

they do different ones for different seasons, helps with winter road grime, summer insects etc

much better than generic fluid - even the vw supplied stuff

a tiny aspect of car ownership, overlooked by so many  :innocent:

tbh honest its pretty odourless, never noticed a smell - i used to scoff at the idea of season washer fluid, but now swear by it

beats the generic stuff for versatility as it doesnt rely on super concentrated levels to get the job done all year round

No as I don't think VW would want your jets to bleed...
