Clutch torque ratings/map questions

Basically, my clutch is slipping so I'm looking to replace my clutch/flywheel. Originally I was planning a helix organic clutch but due to other commitments I now can't afford it, so, would I get away with a standard luk clutch on a stage 1 map? Can get them dirt cheap at the moment, £120! Id like to go stage two at some point but I'm assuming there's no way a standard clutch would handle that? I tried finding torque ratings on them but didn't have much luck 

Next question, is there anyway of finding out what kind of map is on my car? As I bought my Gti last year and I know it's mapped but have no idea what kind is on it, when I bought it the previous owner never even told me it was mapped, then tried contacting him to ask the question but he never got back to me. Just wouldn't mind knowing incase it's one of the cheap maps that can do more harm than good.

A standard clutch will handle stage 1 (K03 turbo) for a while, as long as the map isn't making huge torque (300lb+/ft).

There is no way of knowing which map you have without a Dyno graph. . . Even then you will only be able to tell if it's Supperchips by the spike of boost 

My advise would be to save up for a Helix clutch and get the car mapped by a reputable tuner, that way you know what map it's running and that all is safe.

If your worried about the map, get it flashed back to stock for now whilst you save for that clutch

Where do you go to get the standard map put back on? Can you do it at a dealers or would I have to go back to where I had it mapped?

Ah thanks, thought that would be the case. I'd say the map on it was an aggressive one as all it does is spin even in the dry  the joys of fwd.
 
Think I'll try sticking one of the standard luk ones in if that's the case to see if it'll hold for a while till I can afford the helix/a decent map, mainly cause there dirt cheap!
